Victims: Glenn John and Paula Marie Alderman Bouckley

Glenn John and Paula Marie Alderman Bouckley Glenn and Paula Bouckley, who had been residing in New York State, were returning from an eight day trip to England. They had been in West Yorkshire for the wedding of Glenn's brother, Christopher.

Paula was the daughter of Gordon Alderman, who had died in February 1988, and Marion Alderman. She also left three sisters: Lisa, Laura, and Martha. She was a 1984 graduate of Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, where she obtained a bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Studies.

Glenn was born in Sowerby Bridge, West Yorkshire, England. He followed an apprenticeship and had become a fully-qualified electrician. He was survived by his parents, Lily and Percy, and five siblings.

Glenn and Paula had been "pen pals" for some years when they finally met in England while Paula was touring Europe with her sister after graduating from Cornell. Eight months and one visit to England later, they were married at St. Peter's Church, Sowerby. They resided in England for a year and a half before moving to the United States after the death of Paula's father.
