Victims: Bryony Elise and Gwyneth Yvonne Margaret Owen

Yvonne Owen had a BA degree in Social Sciences and was back in school to become a social worker. She would have finished her second degree in June, 1989. During the course of her studies she worked at a refuge for battered wives and children and was saddened by the way they were treated. She is described by her mother as an unfailingly kind and generous person.

Yvonne was traveling to meet her fiancé in New York; she had her 18 month old daughter Bryony with her. Yvonne was also expecting a second child.
