Victim: James Andrew Campbell Pitt

James Andrew Campbell Pitt James (Jim) Pitt was an accomplished linguist, fencer and poet. He lived in Massachusetts and was on his way home to England to visit his family. Jim was fluent in French, German and Spanish. He attended Columbia University for two years before transferring to the Goethe Institute in Berlin and eventually to the Free University of Berlin. He was working for Pan Am as a part time customer service representative.

Jim was survived by his mother Sally, his father Captain William Pitt, a sister Lesley and a brother William.
