Victim: Steven Russell Berrell

Steven RussellBerrell Steven Russell Berrell was one of the thirty-five Syracuse University students who were returning home for Christmas after a semester studying in London. Steve carried a double major in communications and management. Born on June 19, 1968, he was survived by his parents, Bob and Sally, as well as a sister, Martha, and an older brother, Rob.

While at Syracuse University Steve pledged Phi Delta Theta fraternity and had planned to move into the fraternity house before the next term started in January 1989. Steve was known as a loyal friend and a sensitive, considerate, caring person who reached out to many people. He set high goals for himself and worked hard to attain them. His sense of humor and warm smile were always present.

A memorial was established in his name at the First Presbyterian Church of Fargo, North Dakota.

At the time of his death Alistair was a law lecturer at the Polytechnic Institute of Central London. He was considered to be a gifted and devoted teacher, artistic, generous, witty, and kind.
